There is a plastic piece ('fork') inside to control the diaphgram
via a metal blade. The blade can easily jump from it's proper position.
Easy steps:
1. remove the screws (four, if I can recall) from the back of the lens.
2. gentle remove the adapter ring
3. reinsert the ring so that the plastic fork (white in my copies) and the blade meet each other
4. put the screws back.

I ended up accessing the blades from the front, and gently swabbing them with alcohol until they moved freely - a week on and all is still well. | Manul Focus Forum |
